Review: Chasing River by K.A. Tucker

3 stars! ***

Author: K.A. Tucker

Title: Chasing River (Burying Water #3)

This one was my least favourite of the series yet. It wasn't bad but it felt like something was missing. I'm not sure what, I just know it wasn't there. I never really liked Amber so maybe that's one of the reasons.

We met Amber in the first instalement Burying Water, she's Jesse's twin sister. She worked overtimes and long hours as a nurse to get enough money to travel the world. She's daddy's girl through and through. She's also a rodeo queen and was always good, had great grades, perfect make-up and hair. She also has a stick up her arse.

River. Well well well. Another fine specismen. Tattoes muscular irish man with the irish drawl. He's also spent eighteen months in prison. He repented and never did anything illegal again. His older brother Aengus didn't learn his lesson after spending six years imprisoned and still does the dirty job for the IRA.

That's how River and Amber meet. Aengus dropped a bomb and River saved Amber before it could hurt her. She finds him after that and they start to build a relationship even though they know they have a limited time.

I liked River and endured Amber. I didn't really see any big chemistry between them. I honestly hated the parts where she was complaining or whining and let me tell you, there well lots of those.

There were some good parts too. We've got to see a bit more of Ivy who'll be in Surviving Ice. Rowen, the youngest brother was pretty great too. What happened to him was a terrible thing but I hope he'll have his own novel *fingers crossed*.
