Review: Near and Far (Lost and Found, #2) by Nicole Williams

4.5 stars! ****

Author: Nicole Williams

Title: Near and Far (Lost and Found, #2)

There’s optimistic. And there’s Jesse Walker.

If he wasn’t so charming, his sunny disposition and incessant grin would get old. Fast.

Falling in love with the broken girl who had at first seemed immune to anything resembling love was the best thing to happen to Jesse since the Walkers adopted him when he was five.

As Jesse’s life continues at the ranch and Rowen begins making her mark in the Seattle art community, they wonder where the middle ground is. Or if there even is one.

As push comes to shove, they’re forced to make choices neither are eager to make, and Jesse and Rowen have to face what their lives might look like without the other.

Can two people with such tragic pasts and different presents expect a promising future together? Whatever the answer, they’ll need a lot more than love to make it.

Jesse's POV!

I'm soo glad that we've got more of Jesse and his side. He's just so sweet, incredibly caring, hardworking cowboy with a nicely shaped ass.

Rowen is in Seattle at university and Jesse stayed back at the farm. Long-distance relationship isn't easy. They have to deal with separation, miscomunication, loneliness.. And know that they are by themselves, each of them has to fight their own demons on their own.

Lost and Found dealt mostly with Rowen's insecurities and problems. Near and Far is focused more on Jesse's past and his issues.

It was good to see that Jesse is not so perfect like he seems. He's got his own demons and sometimes he let them win. That even he can fuck things up, that Rowen is not the only one the relationship who is damaged by her past.

We've also seen Garth's gentler side and he finally showed us that he'll be a hero worth reading about.

I liked NEAR AND FAR a little less than LOST AND FOUND, but it was still really good. I can say that this series will belong to my favourite ones.
