Review: Infatuation (Knights Rebels MC, #4) by River Savage

3.5 stars! ***

Author: River Savage

Title: Infatuation (Knights Rebels MC, #4)

Beau McIntyre is driven by a past smothered in blood and covered in bruises. Though tragic, it's help shape his future and define the man he's become.

Day in and day out, he's reminded of his failures in the faces of the women he saves. But what happens when one girl threatens to blow all of that apart? Will Beau lose his grip on the controlled lifestyle he abides by?

Mackenzie Moore is running from a past she needs to forget. A past that has molded her into a woman living in fear. One fateful night, her carefully constructed world is pulled down around her, forcing her to make a decision she's not sure she can live with.

Turning to the Knights Rebels MC for help is the last thing she wants, but everything she needs.

Can Beau save her once again, or is what she running to far worse than what she’s running from?

I was really looking forward to Beau's and Mackenzie's story. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't blown away. It was an okay read, although I felt it was too static sometimes. Looking back at the story it was the same thing over and over again.

Kenzie was saved by Beau several months ago. Her husband was an abusive SOF who didn't take no for an answer. His way was the only way. After a year he found her again.

Beau is surprised when Mackenzie appears on the doorstep of his club. He thought she was safe, she was supposed to be tucked away at some place, living happily. But here she was, looking way too thin and way too scared for his taste.

He was affected by her before, but now.. when she's not beat up and smiles at him.. he knows he's in a deep trouble.

It was lovely story. Not really remarkable though. The only thing that really stuck up with me was the ending - not the epilogue, but the part about Kelly and Brooks. Those two were together from the very beginning of the series and now they are facing troubles. Which means they'll get their book! (they have to!)

Kenzie went through a huge character development. She changed from a shy, scared abused woman into a confident, self-asured, bright woman in love with her man and in love with life. Even her panick attacks became less frequent.

And Beau. He should cut his hair. Long hair are not hot. Not even when you have a beard.

Even he changed a bit. He was comanding manwhore before and Kenzie turned him into a bit less comanding, cuddle loving man. He even learned how to sweet talk!

The ending was cute and all the questions regarding those two were answered. It was bit rushed. But I didn't really mind, I could see that they had genuine feelings for each other and it was a long time coming. So, actually, it was not so rushed after all.

I wanted to see a bit of Jesse and Bell and was disappointed when they were there only for a little while. I still don't know a thing about her sister Paige and what happened to her while she was held captive.

Hopefully she'll have her own book soon. And Hunter. (Maybe Paige and Hunter will be together?) But Kelly and Brooks should come firts.
