Review: Gabriel's Redemption (Gabriel's Inferno, #3) by Sylvain Reynard

2 stars! **

Author: Sylvain Reynard
Title: Gabriel's Redemption (Gabriel's Inferno #3)

Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.

But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront her about the subject of her presentation – research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.

In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

Some authors should learn when to stop. No matter how much fans want another book, when there's nothing to write about, don't write it. And if you really really need to write something, write a novella. Not a book that's five hundred pages long.

Gabriel's Redemption was filled with more "POVs". We peaked into Paul's life, Simon's and April's, Natalie's. There was so many pages, so many space to actually FINISH those stories. If I didn't get the inside look I wouldn't even care what happened with them, but I did and now I'm bit angry that I have no idea how it ended. Especially Simon's part.

I'm getting repetitive (just like the whole trilogy is) but it was boring. Almost nothing happened and if something interesting went on it was repeated so many times that it got annoying.

I've heard many good things about the whole trilogy and most of the ratings are positive. I don't know why the readers find it so amazing. I guess it's just no my style. Definitely not reading anything by Sylvain in near future. Maybe ten years from now I'll change my mind will actually love her books, but I doubt that.
