Title: Trouble on Tap (Sweet Salvation Brewery, #3)

What fun is life without a little bit of trouble?

Retired supermodel and forever wild child Olivia Sweet is nothing but trouble. The youngest Sweet triplet is back in her hometown, but instead of a triumphant return it’s a parade of humiliations. She’s broke, homeless and dealing with the fallout from her scumbag ex-boyfriend publishing naked pictures of her to a revenge porn website.

Staid and stalwart veteran Mateo Garcia has seen more trouble than a man ever should in his lifetime. He’s gone from pretty boy Marine to a small town police chief with a chip on his shoulder and scars covering the left side of his face. Now his former lover, Olivia, is back in town and living next door.

When the two are forced to work together to fix up the crumbling veterans’ center, the sparks fly between the beauty and the man who sees himself as a beast. Not everyone is happy that Olivia is back home though and Mateo has to choose between the town who wants her gone and an uncertain future with a woman who he thinks could never love him…

This one was my favourite of the series.

It was way to short for there to be any real development of either characters or the relationship between Mateo and Olivia. But those two knew each other since they were kids and already had been involved with each other before, so it didn't feel so forced. That's why it was my favourite. And you know.. there was a hot soldier with scars on his body and mind just waiting to be healed.

Olivia used to model. She has the curves most women would envy, but not the modeling world. Her agency had to let her go, because she was "too big".

She was involved with Mateo, a soldier from home. They used to meet a couple of times a month for a hook up. But Olivia was ready to make their relationship more official. And Mateo shot her down.

She returns to her hometown three years later and things are just like they used to be. Most of the population in Salvation doesn't want her back and they think that Sweets are some kind of abomination.

One thing is different though. Mateo was injured in a battle and now has a huge scar on his face. Also his attitude has changed. He used to be cocky and arrogant but now he's just broken and he takes it out on anyone who get near him.

Just like other books in the series this one was short, fast and rushed. I felt like Mateo had some switch in his head and someone flicked it and he suddenly fell in love with Olivia. Two thirds of the book were bit slow and cold and the last one was overly hot and so fast that before I could blink ten different things happened.

It was a good ending to a decent series and I might read other books by Avery Flynn.
