Review: Becoming Rain by K. A. Tucker

not quite 4 stars! but close enough ****

Author: K. A. Tucker

Title: Becoming Rain (Burying Water #2)

Becoming Rain is focused on Boone (best friend of Jesse from Burying Water) and Clara.

Luke Boone is a sexy, rugged man who's been born into a crime. His uncle Rust operates with stolen cars and finds Luke ready to help him. He basically raised Luke and wants him to take over the legitimite part of bussines and sometime in the future even the illegal part of it. While Luke doesn't necessarily like doing illegal stuff, he doesn't want to disappoint his uncle who is like a father to him, he also enjoys the money and girls.

That's until he meets Rain. She's the opposite of what he normally goes after. Even though she's rich, she's also smart and funny and doesn't use him. He starts to fell for her and trust her.

But Rain isn't actually Rain, she's an undecover cop Clara. Her assignment was to get close to him, make him trust her, find information on Luke and Rust and anyone involved, collect enough proofs to arrest them. Even though she tries to fight it she starts to have feeling for him too.

Becoming Rain was filled with a lot more suspense than Burying Water, but it was also bit more confusing. I was feeling so sad for Luke the whole time, because I knew he didn't mean to hurt anyone and he got his heart ripped out in the end.

I was glad that we've got a glimpse of Jesse and Alex, because those two will probably be my favourite couple of this series. Not that I didn't like Luke and Clara, but they missed the "we-are-soulmates" spark.

The ending was predictable, but the whole book was filled with surprises and unpredictable moments. It will keep you on your toes cheering for Luke the entire time you spend reading it.

Overall it was a great book. K.A. Tucker really rocks.

Review: Captivated By Your Love by Kennedy Kelly

2 stars! **

Author: Kennedy Kelly

Title: Captivated By Your Love (The Blue Hearts #2)

I don't get how someone who wrote such an amazing book (The Right Kind of Love) could write this. It was.. ehm.. eh.. not good.

Justice who we met in The Right Kind of Love is a police officer and he was described as alfa male. I thought he was only possesive and compulsive. Things had to be his way and no one elses. He growled and was saying "mine, mine" like a freaking Tarzan.

Someone can find it romantic and spontanious and impulsive but to me it is just screams "crazy"!

And don't let me start on Abbee. She HAS to be called Bee or she throws a fit. She's so moody. She's angry. No, she's horny. NO, she's furious. Ups, no, she's happily in love. Aaaand she's not. Argh. She resisted everything Justice did, got unreasonably upset, yelled at him and before you turn the page she's doing exactly what he wanted. She's selfish and so damn touchy.

Both of them are so immature it hurts. They don't understand they have to COMPROMISE to have a chance for a happy ending.

Review: Breathe Me In by Erin McCarthy

3 stars! ***

Author: Erin McCarthy

Title: Breathe Me In (Blurred Lines #5)

The beginning was great and I really enjoyed how Anya and Kane interacted and how they started to bond. But as the story went on I started to get annoyed with Anya for being such a bit*h and with Kane for being such a wimp. I mean, the NYC epizode? He changed his mind with her doing nothing but looking sad.

The ending was way to rushed and nothing was really resolved even though we get to see a glimps of their happy ever after. I'd like to read a novella with those two, how they are three years from now, how they deal with their insecurities and issues and the probable baby.

I expected to see more interaction between her and Chloe and Ethan.

But overall I quite enjoyed this book)

Review: Easy with You by Kristen Proby

4 stars

Author: Kristen Proby
Title: Easy with you (With Me in Seattle #8.5 & Boudreaux, #1.5)

At first I was confused who the hell is Asher and Lila? Then I remembered Matt's story and it all clicked - Asher aka the hot and haunted police officer.

The story was predictable, Lila and Asher hooked up and then they met when Asher was investigating a murder case - several actualy. You know who is the murderer is right away, and can see where story will go but I enjoyed the part where Matt and Nic visited (I'd kill for a cupcake now!).

It was good to see Asher have a happy end (what I appreciate is that Kristen Proby didn't try to reduce the love he has for his first wife, which raised this novella one star more than I originally intended to give).
